OS Terrain®

Introduction

Information

    OS Terrain® products have been generated from height data specifically engineered to provide accurate, consistent modelling of the shape of the landscape to enable decision-making in the third dimension.

    The height data is provided in either grid digital terrain models (DTMs) or contours. This is the only height data available that has specific modelling for major communication routes, road and rail, throughout Great Britain to ensure interoperability with our large-scale data, such as OS MasterMap® Topography Layer.

    This demonstrator will provide a technical explanation of OS Terrain products.
